Description: Description: D-Fibroheal is a patented, silk based sterile surgical wound dressing, which is primarily made of Silk Protein, a natural biopolymer extracted from Silk.

D-Fibroheal is one of its kind, bio-modified, bi-laminated silk based wound dressing having excellent biocompatibility, tensile strength, high cell attachment, cell migration and tissue regeneration properties. It can be applied directly at the wound site as a primary dressing to improve the efficiency of wound healing and facilitate faster wound closure.

It is a non-adherent film dressing comprising of hydrophobic and hydrophilic layer. The core of the dressing is the hydrophilic layer containing silk protein and asiaticoside complex, which is in contact with wound surface, facilitates and maintains a environment that is favorable for wound healing and re-epithelialization. The hydrophobic layer will be away from the wound surface which prevents moisture, dust and bacterial entry but allows free passage of air, oxygen and gas through pores of the film.

This powder wound dressing is unique among all other wound dressings; composed of silk protein and asiaticoside complex, which creates an optimal wound environment conditions for new tissue to grow. The powder can just be sprinkled onto the wound and cover with any secondary dressing. It conforms to any wound bed and forms a protective barrier to external contamination.
